Family Accommodation Bookings
My favourite site for hotel and family accommodation deals is booking.com.
I love searching for places to stay on booking.com as I find it is hands down the best website to assess and find out what accommodation is suitable for families. No other site is as precise in listing bedding configurations and extra bed requests taking the guess work out of the process.
On booking.com, once you click through to the accommodation of choice you can select the room type in the details box and click through to what beds are in each room.
The booking.com website is well presented with high quality photos, clear descriptions and descriptive reviews and ratings. It is a simple and easy site to navigate through and the 'sort' options really make the search functions very effective.
The most powerful part of booking.com is that a vast majority of bookings can be done with free cancellations up until a date close to your visit and can be paid for at the time of your stay keeping interest earning cash in your bank account.
Booking.com has a huge range of private holiday style accommodation particularly throughout Europe so you are not limited to hotels. Why stay in a hotel room when for the same price you could have a 2 bedroom apartment?
Another fabulous option for private holiday accommodation is to utilise either Stayz or AirBnB. We have used both of these sites extensively over the past five years and really enjoy the luxury of home style accommodations at competitive prices.
Private holiday rentals are surging and a very popular way of finding high quality accommodation particularly in notoriously expensive destinations such as Hawaii or Canada.
Everyone needs travel insurance if heading overseas and I highly recommend using Travel Insurance Direct for family travel insurance coverage.
This website will save you time and money and I have always found their insurance products to be good quality with top level cover for medical, cancellations and travel changes. I have made a couple of claims over the years and found the process was quick and simple with no issues with payments owed to me.
With TID you can eliminate super expensive commissions to travel agents who are selling over-priced travel insurance and pay for what you need - travel insurance.

Family Activities and Tours
KLOOK is a fabulous website for pre-purchasing tickets to attractions, activities and tours. Their prices are often significantly cheaper than purchasing at the attraction and also means you get to skip the cue and join the pre-paid entry.

Flight Deals
There are so many websites advertising special flight deals however I find that often the cheapest flight deals are found directly on the airlines own website.
Another good tip is that often you can also have better after-sales service from the airline when you have booked direct. Removing the middle man can make the process much simpler instead of being re-directed back to the third party booking site.
Below are some of the airlines that I find offer amazing deals when booking directly. I also really love Singapore Airlines for their extensive flight schedules and amazing service. Singapore has some amazing deals regularly come up for European destinations and their staff are considerate and helpful when travelling with infants.

There are some places on the planet that are just a bit easier to navigate your way around with the guidance and help of knowledgeable tour guides and a reputable travel company.
G Adventures has one of the most extensive tour ranges and run professional, high quality experiences that travellers love.
I travelled with G Adventures through Mexico and Guatemala and found them to be way above some other tour companies I have used in other countries. I am not generally a tour type traveller but when travelling with G Adventures I really appreciated their ability to travel responsibly and enjoyed the infusion of local experiences and the really knowledgeable guide. It's also a great way to connect and meet other travellers!
